Two days back one of my clients asked me about the mindset of an affiliate while assessing an Affiliate Network. As an Affiliate network conserving the affiliates is one of the big factors in scaling your business. In this article, I tried to cover some of the most important facts that each affiliate had in mind while signing up to your network through an affiliate program. Here we have the key points so as to how publishers evaluate affiliate networks.

Mindset 1: Revenue Earning

affiliates

The Affiliates always check your money offering to them.  Network with high payout rates always attracts Affiliate more. Lots of affiliates judge on the basis of the duration of payout release. Shorter the duration attractive the network would be. Sometimes it’s good to reward bonuses to the affiliates to retain the willingness of affiliates to work with you.

High Payout + Shorter Payment Duration = More Attention

Mindset 2: Payment frequency

affliates

If you are a new ad network then your first step is to generate the trust among your Affiliates. If you are starting new, it’s always recommended to Keep your Payment Threshold Low. In the beginning, affiliate invests less as you are new and have no reliability score in their mind. Lower the threshold more secure the Affiliate would feel after associating with you. After generating the trust, you can vary the threshold later.

Low Threshold Amount +  Short Payment Duration = High Trust Values.

Mindset 3:  The level of control

affiliates

Affiliate always evaluate your network with the ads you are showing. Affiliates working on a niche will like to run the campaign parallel to their niche. For example, Affiliate running kids website will never put porno ads on their website. Affiliates opt those content which relates their niche. The level of control is another Factor Affiliate considers while evaluating the Ad Networks.

Controlled Campaigns = Willingness of running the campaign

Mindset 4: Ad Quality

On the basis of their assists, Affiliates distinguish which ad is relevant and which is not. Affiliate work on various verticles, verticle can be Geo, can be Device etc. Getting high CTR is always an issue for affiliates, provide them with High Converting Offers. Helping your affiliates getting CTR will give you an Extra point against all other networks.

Ad Quality = One Extra Point

Mindset 5: Ease of use

affiliates

Most of the Affiliates are semi tech, they don’t want to stumble upon your network publisher’s dashboard. Provide them with Operational Elegance. Moreover, Affiliates demand some features like real-time stats, creatives upload, conversions report and many in their affiliate network. Work on the platform which is easy to understand.

Ease of use = Less wastage of time = More campaigns they able to run
