This problem however typical hasn’t had its permanent solution and causes bad brand reputation for a lot of organizations every year.

Is there a way to stop domain spamming?

Are there ways to take preventive measures to stop domain spamming by the browser? Yes absolutely. Is there a permanent solution to it? No. At least not yet. But we can definitely articulate some damage control technique to save your brand the brand reputation.

Problem

Let’s say your user clicked on the tracking link generated by your tracking platform, the tracking link directs you to the app attribution link that redirects you to the browser, according to the problem statement the redirect doesn’t happen if the app attribution panel generated a link is spammed by the browser.

Case study test

Jumping to conclusions without a proper experiment is irresponsible, The team Trackier conducted a rigorous test that helped us get to the root of the problem.

How did we know the app attribution panel generated a link is spammed?

1) We started the test by directing our tracking link to multiple app attribution panels generated links.

  1. app.adj.com
  1. demo.adj.com/
  1. demo.adj.com
  2. Google Playstore ( play.google.com)

2) By the end of the case test, we concluded that demo.adj.com and play store redirection worked as expected while app.adjust.com failed to redirect, thus confirming its spammed status.

3) Once the problem is targeted we can kill it!

How you can permanently fix this problem using Trackier

1) Go to the customize tab in your dashboard

2) Click the tracking tab in the leftmost panel

What is 302 temporary redirect and why do we use it?

An HTTP status code of 302 means the page the user is trying to access has been temporarily moved to a different location. With a 302 “Found” or “Moved Temporarily” redirect, the server redirects the user to the new destination despite the original location still being used for requests.

These redirects come in handy when you want to divert users from 404 page-not-found errors, or pages that aren’t currently active but will be in the future. For online retailers, a 302 temporary redirect can come in handy when products are temporarily out of stock or seasonal.

Temporary redirects allow e-commerce sites to prevent users from accessing these unavailable pages, for the time being, returning traffic when the products become available again. 302 Moved Temporarily redirects are easier than 301 Moved Permanently redirects to implement, so you can apply and remove them as needed.
