Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) organised its second edition of Gaming Summit and Expo in India called “GATO 2.0 – Gaming for Tomorrow” on 24th April 2019 in Leela Ambience, Gurugram.
The main focus of the event was to promote skill-based gaming in India and endeavour to build a platform through events for augmenting business development for the industry. The event partners included AWS, Alexa etc. And Trackier being one of the four exhibitors including Opicle, Play Station and SportzCraazy. The event also involved a Gaming conference which was expected to convert and also support the sector as one of the pillars for making the Digital India dream, which has the potential to generate revenue and employment generation for the country.
The event was followed by the first edition of GATO Awards. GATO Awards aims to identify the stalwarts in the Indian Gaming Industry and were meant to appreciate and encourage the efforts of the talented Indian developers which included a total of 8 categories in its debut year. The event attendees included Game Developers, Gaming Startups, Animation Companies, Affiliate Marketers etc.
It was a great event to partner with the industry decision makers and getting engaged with a segment of the target audience. Overall the event was a good learning curve and an opportunity to learn more about the gaming industry in India.
